Fall in Love with This Season’s Trends

This season’s styles look intimidating on the runways, but they’re easy to master. Here are a few wearable trends you can weave into your wardrobe.

Moody & Monochromatic
When in doubt, go with a moody gray shade. Head-to-toe gray hues are all the rage this season. Try wearing a gray sweater dress or monochromatic gray business suit.  You can wear a gray scarf or fur vest to add more dimensions to your outfit. Or find a pair of gray booties you can wear with different looks.

All Hail the High Waist
Lose your low-rise jeans and try a pair of high-waist pants. Not only is this style in this season, it’s slimming! Opt for a pair of dark high-waist jeans that you can dress up or down. For a sophisticated look, tuck your shirt in your jeans and add a leather belt.  For a laid-back look, pair your jeans with a comfy T-shirt.

Mad for Plaid
Plaid is always popular in the fall, but it’s receiving even more hype this season. Try incorporating red plaid patterns with your coat, skirts, and shirts. Regardless of how you wear it, plaid is always classic and chic.

Fun Fur
Cozy up with a cool fur vest or coat. A small fur scarf is affordable and versatile. You can also incorporate fur with your accessories: purses and boots.

Wine Tasting
Deep red is the color of the season. You can wear it any way you’d like: a crimson blouse, sweater, shift dress, jewelry, and booties. If you’re feeling bold, try wearing a wine-colored coat. Wine looks best with other dark shades: black, brown, and gray.

Flattering Flares
Forget about boot-cut jeans and find a pair of flared jeans. This cut will elongate your legs and flatter your hips. Pair your flares with a flouncy blouse or, for more structure, button-up shirt or blazer.

Jaw-Dropping Jewelry
Lose the simple studs and delicate chains and opt for bold statement jewelry. Look for jewelry with bright jewel tones and colorful stones. Bold jewelry will add dimension to an otherwise simple outfit.

Fall Floral
If you think floral patterns are reserved for spring and summer, think again — floral patterns are popular this fall. Try wearing a floral scarf, sweater, blouse, or dress. And don’t be afraid to mix patterns. Combine floral, plaid, and geometric shapes.

Winter White
Break the rules and wear white after Labor Day. Try pairing a crisp white blouse with black jeans or a white coat with a black dress. You can also try wearing white heels, white wrap dress, or white knit sweater.
