This stove top cider recipe is not only an easy festive drink for your guests, but it will also fill your kitchen with a wonderful aroma of fruit and spices. No air freshener needed! This warm apple cider is sure to be a holiday hit.
Spiced Cider Ingredients:
4 quarts Spiced Apple Cider
2 quarts Cranberry Juice
3 Whole Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 cup Cranberries (Fresh or Frozen)
2 Orange Slices
Note: This recipe makes 20 cups, but you can easily halve this recipe if you are not serving a large crowd.
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven or large pot and bring mixture to a boil for about 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and let the cider simmer (covered) for 30-45 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Remove the cloves and cinnamon sticks before serving.
- Serve it straight from the stove top or transfer the spiced cider to a slow cooker to keep it warm throughout the party.
Pro tip: cut orange slices to add as a decorative piece to a drink as well as cinnamon sticks and garnish.
