Get This Look from the Make it Home Show House: Living Room Edition
We’re back with another “Get This Look” from our Make It Home Show House highlighting the living room that Brittany Hayes of Addison’s Wonderland designed. This fun formal living space is full of whimsy, bold colors, and different textures.
A special feature in Brittany’s space is her lease-friendly wallpaper. Brittany used this peel-and-stick removable wallpaper to create a stunning accent wall that ties in perfectly with the rest of the space. Seating is extremely important in a formal space, so Brittany included plenty of seating options like this ‘60s style sofa and these rattan chairs to add dimension and texture.
This stunning gold chandelier helps create balance in the space and add an elegant touch. Other formal items in Brittany’s space include the floor to ceiling cream curtains, the minimalist coffee table and side tables, as well as some of the smaller décor items including the tasseled rug, side lamps, and sheepskin throw.
Brittany used bright colors and fun textures to add a modern flare while creating a cozy space. The bohemian lumbar pillow on the sofa ties in perfectly with the photographs hanging above it. Find the Manhattan cathedral print here, the Coastal print here, and the Moroccan print here.
Other items that make this space unique include:
- This super soft fleece throw, making movie nights with friends and family that much better.
- These fuzzy pink pillows.
- This space-saving table provides an additional surface for framed photos and other trinkets to personalize the space.
Brittany created a dual-purpose space with the addition of a kid’s corner! She was inspired by her own children, who enjoy being in the same room as the adults.
This fun nook is a one-stop-shop where creativity and imagination can run wild. With this wall mounted paper roll, kids can draw on the walls. The little ones can have their own gallery, showing off their art with this sleek artwork line. Tea parties will be elegant and cheerful with this mini mid-century mod table paired with these colorful poufs. Keep this corner neat and organized with a whimsical cloud shelf and a customizable pegboard with easy storage shelves.
The living room doesn’t have to feel stiff and untouchable. It should be a space where you can connect with loved ones. Make it cozy and inviting!
