Kevin designed this space with dual functionality in mind. The canopy bed offers a place to recharge. And the lovely sitting area, complete with a bench and ottoman, is perfect for getting organized in the morning. These pieces’ simple, elegant lines will blend with any style.
Believe it or not, the bold wallpaper behind the bed is removable and lease-friendly! Kevin found this pattern here, but you can also find wonderful peel-and-stick options at The Home Depot. This deep orange pattern ties in with the warm shades of the room. It also creates a focal point in the space.
This primary bedroom couldn’t be cozier. It’s full of plush pillows, blankets, and an organically made mattress. Take your comfort to the next level by exploring some products Kevin used in his design.
A great way to bring more light into a space is to add mirrors. Kevin chose a brass floor mirror that reflects the natural light from the window and lets the light in the room. He said a mirror, especially one this size, can feel like an additional window. He added a few potted plants and a chinoiserie stool, bringing life and purpose to an otherwise unused part of the room.
The small details are what truly bring a design together. Kevin’s chose pieces that are chic and avant-garde. Above the dresser he hung portrait art by Josh Yöung, blending old and new world styles. Kevin also incorporated his own rug designs into the space. His Labyrinth Collection of rugs, inspired by classic garden mazes, uses textiles such as wool and bamboo silk.
Kevin’s design carries seamlessly into the adjoining primary bathroom. His fresh, clean style makes this space feel like a spa. The cane-back chair at the vanity continues the old-meets-new motif Kevin has curated. He makes the space personal with monogrammed towels from Weezie.
