Residents Enjoy The Magic Of “Muppets Most Wanted”

To reward our residents, Invitation Homes treated more than 4,000 guests to a free screening of “Muppets Most Wanted” on March 22. Prizes were awarded to the first 25 residents who dressed up as their favorite Muppet character. Children and adults arrived looking like Kermit the Frog; young girls wore a blonde wig to mimic Miss Piggy; and guests daunted a chef’s hat to impersonate the Swedish Chef.

“Muppets Most Wanted” is a sequel to the popular film, “The Muppets,” which was released in 2011. In this movie, the Muppets find themselves in the midst of a global crime. The Muppets visit Europe while trying to decide what to do for a sequel to their first movie. Meanwhile, a criminal named Constantine, who looks exactly like Kermit the frog, plots to steal the Crown Jewels of England. In Berlin, the police mistake Kermit for Constantine and arrest him. The criminal, Constantine, fools the Muppets into think he is Kermit and leads them on a tour of Europe. Constantine proposes to Miss Piggy, who accepts, and they plan their ceremony in the Tower of London, where the Crown Jewels are held.

Finally, Fozzie Bear realizes that the gang has been tricked. Fozzie, Walter, and Animal release Kermit from the Gulag, where is he held captive. Kermit escapes in time to stop the wedding ceremony at the Tower of London. When Constantine attempts to kidnap Miss Piggy, the Muppets join Kermit to rescue her.

“Muppets Most Wanted” is a comedy-musical meant for the entire family. Unlike “The Muppets,” this movie focuses on the main gang, as well as introducing new human characters like Tina Fey. In the private screening, guests enjoyed the original songs and humorous lines in the movie. Children experienced the wonder of the Muppets, who began their career more than 60 years ago. Invitation Homes was delighted to join our residents and families in enjoying the magic of the Muppets.
