At the end of September, Invitation Homes celebrated Associate Appreciation Week, a time when we recognize our associates' hard work and dedication across our 16 markets.

While we focus on this celebration this one week each year, we value our associates all year long. We maintain multiple touchpoints throughout the year to ensure we’re meeting their needs as an employer and that we continue to make Invitation Homes an incredible place to work.

We aim to provide a supportive work culture so associates know we are always there for them, even if they aren’t in a traditional 9-5 office setting. We take pride in being a place where individuals can start their careers, make a pivot or leverage years of expertise in the single-family rental (SFR) or real estate industry. We know that our associates work hard so they can enjoy personal time, which is why we provide our team with an array of great benefits and perks.

By investing in our associates, we empower them to invest in our company and its mission. That’s why we rightfully credit so much of our success to the hard work of our team. It’s no secret that Invitation Homes has grown and scaled significantly over the past few years, creating new channels to bring housing supply to the market through build-to-rent (BTR) and leveraging our expertise as a third-party property manager for other portfolios of homes. Our associates have taken these challenges head-on and embody what it means to be a leading SFR company responsible for setting industry standards.

This year has marked another successful milestone for our business and nationwide operations. Thanks to our associates, we launched a new era of third-party property management, adding more than 20,000 homes to our operating platform and creating processes and reports for this sector of our business. In addition, to add much-needed housing supply to a constrained market, we’ve also focused on our BTR operations, adding more than 2,000 BTR homes to our builder pipeline this year and opening 12 BTR communities in desirable locations.

To further meet resident desires, we signed up more than 16,000 homes for bulk internet and enhanced our website and mobile app with A/B testing capabilities to drive better user experiences. We also became a national sponsor of the American Red Cross Sound the Alarm home fire safety campaign, which will activate our associate volunteers to install free smoke alarms in homes and assist families in creating escape plans.

We’ve always been committed to generating value for our associates and residents, and 2024 was clearly no different. Everything we’ve achieved so far would not be possible without our positive and supportive work culture and the Genuine Care model our associates embody daily. Because our associates put their best foot forward, we’re able to expand and scale operations, add necessary housing supply to the market, and deliver for our residents. We are incredibly appreciative of our associates and everything they do for our company, for our residents and for each other.
