As 2024 comes to a close, we are taking stock of our accomplishments and our contributions to the housing market over the past year and looking ahead to positive developments for our company, associates and residents in 2025.
Invitation Homes continues to advance solutions to help address challenges in the housing market. Our build-to-rent (BTR) operations are adding much-needed supply: We added 718 new homes in 2023 and have acquired more than 1,300 in 2024.
In the past year, we extended our housing expertise to the third-party property and asset management space, bringing more than 20,000 single-family homes onto our platform. As a leader in the single-family home leasing industry, Invitation Homes is ensuring that individuals have choices when it comes to finding a home across our 16 core markets.
While we bring more homes to market, we are also intentional about maintaining the high quality of our existing services and ensuring residents enjoy a worry-free leasing experience.
We routinely invest in improving our homes as part of our efforts to innovate and maximize resident satisfaction. After digitizing the maintenance process with a dedicated app, we’re now able to respond to requests through our portal and provide regular updates on the status of work orders.
We are proud to report an average rating of 4.71 stars on post-maintenance surveys as of September 2024. In 2025, we look forward to continuing our top-notch service and industry-leading standards for maintenance to ensure that residents feel safe and comfortable in their homes.
Cutting-edge technology also helps us innovate for the future and improve services for our residents. A number of our homes are equipped with Smart Home technology, which makes residents’ lives easier by giving them control over their thermostats and improving energy efficiency.
We’re also investing in new and efficient customer service technology platforms that ensure an efficient leasing experience, including a mobile-first leasing application platform.
And our digital toolbelt helps our maintenance technicians solve issues more quickly by consolidating resources and information into one central place. In the year ahead, we’re excited to continue exploring how technology can help us streamline operations and better meet the needs of our residents.
