Corporate Accounting Manager Ruben J Recio is a natural leader. Since 2007, he has served in the Army Reserves, where he led a team of nine soldiers. Now At Invitation Homes, he leads a group of two, soon to be three, staff.

Ruben said, “The three main things that I bring to Invitation Homes from military training are hard work, dedication, and my ability to adapt.”

Through his eight years with the Army Reserves and four years in active duty, Ruben has proven his hard work and dedication. While serving, he led a team in managing and tracking assets, served as an aviation supply technician, and provided convoy security. Ruben earned five Army Commendation medals, three Army Achievement medals, and a Global War on Terrorism Service medal. He currently holds the rank of E-7, Sergeant First Class in the Army Reserves.

At Invitation Homes, Ruben is dedicated to producing financials with accuracy and ensuring all expense reports are captured and reported properly. He also provides constant communication with the field and department heads. Ruben learned these values through his military experience, and now he applies them to his leadership position at Invitation Homes.

Ruben has also showed his ability to adapt. While in active duty, he served in Iraq and travelled across Korea to support the Army, Marines and Air Force in contingency operations. This ability to adapt has carried over to his position at Invitation Homes. Whether he’s processing field rents or recording monthly cost allocation, Ruben is committed to quality work.
