How do I set up my account with the electric company?

You don’t have to do anything. Our Utility Management partner, Conservice, handles everything for you. Conservice will set up and manage your account. They’ll even send your monthly statement with the $20 credit.

If I rent a solar-powered home, how would it work?

Solar panels installed on the rooftop of your home absorb sunlight and convert it into electricity through. The panels contain solar cells that generate direct current electricity when exposed to sunlight. An inverter converts this electricity to make it usable inside your home.

How does having solar energy in my Invitation Homes house benefit me?

Because Invitation Homes installed your system, you can use solar power to reduce your carbon footprint without paying expensive upfront costs. How is setting up a solar-power account with my utility provider different than a regular electric account?

You don’t have to worry about setting up your account. Our Utility Management partner, Conservice, will set up the account and manage it for you. You will get a monthly statement from Conservice, and you’ll pay your electric bill through the Invitation Homes Resident Portal.

Is maintenance required for the solar system, and who is responsible?

Yes, some maintenance is required for a solar system, but it’s all handled by Invitation Homes. We even clean the solar panels. Routine maintenance ensures optimal performance of the solar system. Please report any issues promptly; our friendly pros will handle the repairs.
